NFDC is defunct. It has become useless now. MS Sathyu known for acerbic tongue lashed at the system of National Film Development Corporation.

“The ‘Ijjodu’ kind of film I have directed for Reliance Big Pictures was done earlier by NFDC. Most of the employees have taken voluntary retirement and it has become a useless organization ultimately. At this juncture the corporate and big business houses coming to cinema is a welcome step. I am not a commercial director yet Reliance Big Picutres has joined hands with me and that is a surprise to me”, said Sathyu.

As he is coming back after 12 years he had a little doubt whether he could do justice to direction. “But the one who learns swimming would not forget to sail through. The cinema direction is also like that. The grammar I believed in cinema making did not trouble me”, added Sathyu.
