Veteran actor Sathyaraj’s sister has a farmhouse in the Periyanayakkanpalayam forest area in the Coimbatore district at the foothills of the Nilgiri hills. Earlier today the residents were reportedly in for a shock as fifteen wild elephants invaded the farm started running around.
The Paalamalai zone is home to several elephant herds that wander into the residential areas from time to time. The farmhouse workers moved to the terrace and without making any noise just waited with fear as to what would happen next.
However, the elephants were only in a playful mood running around each other and then happy to find a water tank the herd drank from it and then after some time left the place. Luckily no one was hurt and those on the farm heaved a sigh of relief.
