While it became evident that veteran actor Sathyaraj will be acting with Vishal in Sandakozhi 2`, there were varying reports regarding the role Sathyaraj would eventually play in the film.

While some said Sathyaraj is on board to play the villain role, others rejected the claim, citing the fact that the senior actor has rejected villain role offers is Superstar Rajinikanth`s Sivaji` and Ilaythalabthi` Vijay`s 59th film that is being directed by Atlee.

Now Sathyaraj himself has cleared the air of confusion, stating that he is indeed playing an important role in Sandakozhi 2` but it is not a negative character.

Vishal has completed Suseenthiran directed Paayum Puli` and currently shooting for an untitled film directed by Pandiraj. He is expected to start shooting for Sandakozhi 2`the sequel to his 2006 blockbuster to be directed by the same director Lingusamy, from first or second week of September.
