Responding to recent rumors, Sathyaraj addressed the speculation surrounding his portrayal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopic. During an interview with Minnambalam, a Tamil website, he categorically dismissed the rumors as completely unfounded. Sathyaraj made it clear that he had not been approached to portray PM Modi in any film, and deemed it surprising to learn about such news that gained traction on social media. He expressed his frustration with the spread of baseless information and highlighted how social media has become a breeding ground for such mindless rumors. Clarifying on the rumours he said , “The news that I am acting in the Prime Minister Modi biopic is news even to me. Nobody has approached me to play PM Modi in the film. People spread random news on social media.”

It is worth noting that Sathyaraj is an ardent follower of Periyar's ideologies and has publicly stated his refusal to be part of any film that promotes anti-Periyarist beliefs. He remains steadfast in upholding his principles and values.
