Puratchi Tamilan Sathyaraj is known for voicing his support for any issue that concerns Tamils be it the farmers agitation, Kaveri issue or Tamil Eelam. He is currently in the news for magnanimously expressing his regret for speaking on the Kaveri issue nine years back to help Baahubali 2` have a smooth release in Karnataka.

Sathyaraj`s daughter Divya has conducted a 3 day awareness camp for Tamil refugees from the 14th to 16th of April provide Tamil refugees the opportunity to understand the importance of healthy eating and vitamin therapy in preventing malnutrition and anemia .The refugees at the camp identified a wide range of issues affecting their health.

Regarding the Karnataka issue Divya told us that " My father is a selfless, straight forward and fearless human being, he has always supported Tamil people unconditionally, I am very proud of him and will always stand by Tamil people under any circumstance."

Divya is a Nurtritionist(M.Phil in nutrition),currently doing her PHD in nutrition and working on her book on food and nutrition.
