The Rajini-Ranjith film has been making news ever since the film was announced a few months back and as of now Radhika Apte, Kalaiarasan and Attakathi Dinesh are the three major actors confirmed to play pivotal characters besides the entire Madras` crew which is already on board.

The all powerful villain`s role in the film first went to Prakash Raj who could not commit due to his tight work schedules and later Jagapathy Babu`s name was also doing the rounds. Now a super exciting buzz that is floating around Kollywood is that Ranjith is keen on getting Sathyaraj as the main antagonist and he is confident of convincing the veteran with his script narration. It is to be noted that Sathyaraj already refused the villain roles in Sivaji` with Rajini himself and more recently Vijay 59` with the Illayathalapathy. It remains to be seen if Ranjith can make the impossible happen and give fans the rare treat of seeing Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj share sceen space after 30 years since Mr. Bharath` in which they both rocked, especially in the Ennama Kannu Song`.
