Sathyan Anthikad is not one to doll out praises simply. But he is so impressed with Mammootty's recent release that he can't help but praise the actor and the movie. The ace director said that though it is 25 days since 'Pathemari' released, it is now that he got the chance to watch it. He feels happy and proud to have caught it on screen.

Sathyan Anthikad said that Malayalam cinema is still alive and such movies and the reception they get are impressive.. He added that the way Mammootty has handled his character is sheer magic. He notes how effortlessly Mammotty is able to fill the viewers with the angst that he experiences. The claps that arouse in the theatre is proof enough that movies like this have an audience. He congratulated the actors, the director Salim Ahmed and everyone associated with the film.
