Sathyan Anthikad defends Mammootty

Sathyan Anthikad had been at the receiving end of many a controversies in recent times. The actor had to content with allegations that the had insulted serial artistes during an award night. Director Sathyan Anthikad has defended Mammootty saying that it was sad that people do not see humour sense when they encounter it.
The director also added that Mammootty said what he said in a lighter vein and that there was nothing malicious about it. A few present at the award night had protested Mammootty's barb saying that his words were an insult. Mammootty has not yet responded to the controversy.
