Today is the 47th birthday of the ever charming ageless actor Arvind Swamy.
Arvind Swamy made his acting debut playing a supporting role in director Mani Ratnam's 1991 classic mass film 'Thalapathy' which had Rajinikanth and Mammootty in lead roles. After getting such a dream debut he was made as a hero in Mani Ratnam's next film 'Roja' which was also the debut film of Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman. The film went on to become a pan Indian blockbuster and Aravind Swamy became a household name among Tamil audience. He is one of the most charming actors to have emerged in Tamil cinema and became a hearthrob of female fans and till date remains so.
After giving many hit films in the 1990s, Arvind Swamy took a voluntary break in 2000s, to look after his business and he was again reinvented by his master Mani Ratnam in the 2013 film 'Kadal'. However it was his performance as the smart and suave villain Siddharth Abhimanyu in 'the unanimously acclaimed blockbuster 'Thani Oruvan' that relaunched him strongly and he again became a much sought after actor and people's favorite star. He followed it up with an equally stunning performance in 'Bogan' that released earlier this year.
Currently Arvind swamy is acting as the lead hero in 'Sathrunagavettai 2', 'Vananagamudi' directed by Selva and 'Bhaskar Oru Rascal' , the Tamil remake of Malayalam super hit 'Bhaskar The Rascal'. He will also be acting in the titular character in 'Naragasooran', the second film of 'Dhuruvangal 16' director Karthick Naren.
All these films falling under different genres are expected to make the actor more and more popular and versatile in his second innings. We can be assured that he will also win many awards and accolades in the coming years.
