Earlier today, Superstar Rajnikanth had come out with his official statement on the Sathankulam deaths, condemning the brutal attack by police officers on the innocents Jayaraj and Fennix, and shared his thoughts on Twitter.

Rajnikanth had expressed his shock at the inhuman treatment by the cops, and their attitude towards the magistrate, and has said that all those who were involved in the brutality must be punished and that no one must be spared.

While many celebrities have been expressing their opinion and condemning the brutality since Saturday, Rajnikanth's statement has been trolled that it has come late. Director CS Amudhan of Thamizh Padam has taken a dig, tweeting "I am truly distressed & shocked that a serial killer called Auto Shankar has been killing many people in the city" indirectly indicating that Rajnikanth's statement has arrived very late.
