In their constant Endeavour to bring quality cinema to the core Satellite Pictures Pvt. Ltd National award winner ‘Fimistaan’ will soon be hitting the Indian theatres. Recently on May 03, 2013 producer Mrs. Shaila Tanna received the National Award for 'Filmistaan' in the "Best Hindi Film" category.

‘Filmistaan’ - this bitter sweet comedy is written and directed by Nitin Kakkar and stars Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Kumud Mishra and others. The movie has already pushed its envelope at the festival circuit by receiving accolades as "Special Jury Mention" at the prestigious BUSAN International Film Festival in October 2012, "Best Feature Film" award at the Delhi International Film Festival in December 2012, and the "-Best Debut Director" award at the International Film Festival of Kerala in December 2012 and "Best Upcoming Film" and "Best Director" at the Jaipur International Film Festival in January 2013.

The national award is the icing on the cake which has worked as a great confidence booster for the producers of Satellite Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Subhash Choudhary and Shaila Tanna in their dream of giving quality cinema to the audience worldwide which took place in the year 2011.

Satellite Pictures is already working on two films where "Karo Toh Karoon Kya" is complete and "Love Training" is currently on floor. The strive for cinematic excellence is on as the company is on the verge of shaping up two exciting projects by the end of the year.
