Being idle seems to be the last thing Sasikumar would prefer. An actor, director and producer, the multifaceted man has been making his presence felt in the industry for the past four years, in one way or another.

And now, he has announced his next project, titled 'Sundarapandian'. To be directed by Prabhu, a former associate of Sasikumar, the film will have Lakshmi Menon, who is currently acting in 'Kumki', as the leading lady.

Sasikumar himself is playing the lead role in this movie, which will have Vijay Sethupathi and Suri among others in pivotal characters. Music is by Raghunandan, while cinematography by Premkumar of 'Pasanga' fame.

Shooting of the movie kick started on Wednesday. According to sources close to the unit, the first schedule will take place in and around Theni and the second schedule in Karaikudi. 'Sundarapandian' is produced by Sasikumar's Company Productions.
