The entire nation is in lockdown mode to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus that has infected more than 2 million people worldwide claiming in excess of 160 thousand lives. Many celebrities are on social media bringing awareness about the pandemic and actor-director Sasikumar spent the entire day on Saturday on the roads as a volunteer for the Tamil Nadu police in Madurai.

Sasikumar in a video emphasized the need for people to stay at home and consider how the police and the medical fraternity are fighting twenty four hours a day to save lives. He pointed out how lady police are even unable to feed their newborn babies leaving them at home and instead involved in public service.

The 'Nadodigal' hero requested those in quarantine to stay at home as it is the good for the entire community. Sasikumar then saluted the doctors, nurses, sanitary worker and the police force for their unselfish and tireless duty to the people.

Sasikumar's upcoming films include 'Kombu Vacha Singamada', 'Rajavamsam', 'MGR Magan', 'Na Na' and 'Paramaguru'.
