Lyca Productions to team up with director Bala

Sri Lanka based Lyca Productions made a grand foray into Kollywood with the Vijay starrer blockbuster Kaththi' last year. Now the production house is lining up more interesting big ticket projects in its kitty to have a strong hold in the Tamil Film industry.

Last week we had reported that Lyca has acquired the worldwide theatrical distribution rights Visaranani' and Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Naanum Rodwydhaan' from actor Dhanush the producer of both the films.

Now Lyca Productions have acquired the distribution rights of National award winning filmmaker Bala's Tharai Thappattai' which has Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. The film is on the final stages of shooting and the musical score is being rendered by Isaignani Ilayaraja.

News reports have it that the business house with multinational footprints will be bankrolling Enthiran 2' directed by Shankar with Superstar Rajinikanth on a whopping scale.Official confirmation on this is still awaited.
