Nel Jayaraman, a farmer and consumer activist has been known for his consistent efforts in creating awarness about farming as well as collecting and preserving traditional varieties of Paddy. Jayaraman, who hailed from Adirangam had passed away in December 2018.

Many film personalities like Siva Karthikeyan and Karthi are close to the agriculturist and the former had taken care of the medical expense of Jayaraman in his last days, and now the latest news is that Jayaraman has been featured in Class 12 Botany textbook for state board schools.

Director Era.Saravanan, who had directed Kathukutty starring Naren which was based on agriculture, had shared the happy news of Nel Jayaraman finding a place in Text books, and retweeting this, Director and actor Sasikumar tweeted that his life which has now become a lesson will soon become a film, and that himself and Era Saravanan are working on it. Thus the actor revealed that he is all set to play Nel Jayaraman in his biopic which might begin soon.
