Sasikumar’s Next Film After ‘Tourist Family’- Big Update Coming Soon!

Following the positive reception of Tourist Family, actor Sasikumar is now preparing for the release of his next film, Freedom. The family entertainer Tourist Family, which hit theatres on May 1, has been performing well at the box office across Tamil Nadu, drawing in large crowds, especially family audiences.

Building on that momentum, an exciting update has emerged about Freedom, a political drama directed by Sathya Siva and starring Sasikumar in the lead. Although the film was completed several months ago, the makers have now announced that a major update—likely the release date—will be revealed on May 9.

The trailer for Freedom, which was released six months ago, grabbed attention for its bold and controversial content, including scenes related to the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and the role of Eelam Tamils. With such a politically charged storyline, expectations are high for its theatrical release.

The film features an ensemble cast including Lijomo Jose, Malavika Avinash, Bose Venkat, Ramesh Khanna, and ‘Boys’ Manikandan. Music is composed by Ghibran, with Udayakumar handling cinematography and Srikanth in charge of editing.
