After director Bala's 'Tharai Thappattai', Actor Sasikumar's next release this year will be 'Vetrivel' directed by debutant Vasanthamani.

The film was completed several weeks ago and was sent to the Central Board of Film Certification to get the Censor Rating, yesterday. The board officials who have watched the film have given a clean U certificate for the film starring Sasikumar, and Miya George in the lead roles.

The running time of the film shot in and around Tanjore is two hours and 22 minutes.

'Vetrivel' has a strong supporting cast that includes the National award winner Samuthirakani, veteran actor Prabhu. Thambi Ramiah, Renuka. Viji Chandrasekar and many others. D.Imman has rendered the musical score for the film. S.R.Kathir has handled the cinematography.

The film has been produced by R.Ravindaran under the Trident Arts banner. Lyca Productions which is currently funding Superstar Rajinikanth's mega sci-fi flick '2.0' has acquired 'Vertrivel' and will be releasing it in theaters across the globe.
