Highly revered filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's Production venture Udta Punjab' ran into troubled waters last week which turned out as an outrage of free thinkers and creative personalities against the alleged high-handedness of Central Board of Film Certification popularly known as Censor board. The board initially suggested 89 cuts and the removal of the word Punjab from its title and then agreed to certify the film with an A rating with 13 cuts.

The makers approached the Bombay High Court and the Court has ordered the board to clear the film with just one cut and A rating.

This is being hailed by the members of film fraternity as well as the film buffs as a verdict that upheld creative freedom. Now the film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhat.

Noted actor, filmmaker and producer Sasikumar has been the first celebrity from Kollywood to have reacted to this verdict. He has hailed the HC's verdict and has said he considers Anurg Kashyap's victory as the victory of every member of the film industry.
