Karthik Subbaraj is effecting the biggest casting coup ever in Tamil cinema for his 'Petta' which already has Superstar Rajinikanth, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Megha Akash and Vijay Sethupathi.  We had already carried the news that Sasikumar has been approached to play a pivotal role in the mega flick.

Sun Pictures have made it official now that Sasikumar is indeed a part of 'Petta' and will soon join the shoot.  The actor-director has shared "dream come true’ year for me. Sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth. Thank you Karthik Subbaraj and Sun Pictures. Proud being part of 'Petta'.

The film has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Thirru and editing by Vivek Harshan.  The next schedule will have Rajini in a young avatar playing a Madurai based don which is said to be loaded with mass moments.
