VK Sasikala the close aide of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa was yesterday admitted to Bengaluru's Bowring Government Hospital after complaining of fever and back pain.
After being said to be stable yesterday, again by midnight Sasikala had breathing trouble and following this a PCR corona test was conducted on her swab and it has been revealed that it came back negative for COVID-19.
Following these developments, TTV Dhinakaran and Dr Sivakumar have reached Bengaluru and have requested permission from the jail authorities to meet Sasikala at Bowring Hospital and are awaiting clearance. As per sources, Sasikala has been diagnosed with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). It must be noted that Sasikala is awaiting her release from jail in a disproportionate assets case, in which former Chief Minister Jayalalitha was the principal accused.
