In a startling revelation (something which had been suspected by many including party cadres), senior AIADMK leader and former State Minister Ponnaiyan has said that Sasikala (who is cooling her heels at Bangalore’s Parappana Agrahara Prison serving a 4-year term in the misappropriation of assets case) conspired to kill former Tamil Nadu chief-minister Jayalalithaa so that she could usurp power from her.

Ponnaiyan, the principal spokesperson of the ruling (unified) AIADMK, was speaking during an interview to a regional television news channel when he dropped the above-said bombshell.

Commenting on Apolls’s Dr. Sudha Seshayyan’s recent remarks that she embalmed the corpse of Jayalalithaa but didn’t get to meet her once during her 75-day long stay at the Hospital, he said that nobody knew what the doctor told or deposed before the Commission of Inquiry headed by Justice Arumuga Swamy (Retd.)

“From what I gather, ‘Amma’ was attacked by Sasikala which was seen by a maid who has simply disappeared; Sasikala had used her crooked and corrupt mind to hatch a conspiracy to kill our beloved ‘Puratchithalaivi’ so that she could assume power in the State,” he said and wondered how could anybody claim that she is the daughter of Jayalalithaa after remaining silent all these years when ‘Amma’ was alive.
