Sasanam
Mahendran is a veteran director, who created a magic in Kollywood with his movies early 1980s. He needs no introduction for, he has carved a niche for himself in the film industry. The director of acclaimed movies like Nenjathai Killathe, Mullum Malarum and Uthiri Pookal. Mahendran is busy giving final touches to Sasanam.
Being sponsored by National Film Development Corporation, Sasanam featuring Arvindhsamy, Gowthamy and Ranjitha, will hit the theatres soon.
'This film is a complete commercial venture from NFDC', Mahendran says.
'The subject is rural and highlights woman's power. Here we have two women vying for honours. It is sure to draw the attention of the jury at the national level', he says and adds credit should be given to the artistes for they have given their best on screen.

According to regional officer of NFDC Ramakrishnan, Mahendran's skills to come out with quality films are widely known. Moreover the script of Sasanam forced us to sponsor the project.
Sasanam has been delayed for long. As it happens, the lead pair Aravindsamy and Gowthamy are both now out of active film career.
