The times have changed for the better as women are gaining courage to report abuse in the hands of men, especially sexual exploitations. However in rare cases sometimes innocent men become victims of false cases and Delhi man Sarvjeet Singh Bedi who fought for his innocence for four years has been acquitted.
In 2015 Jasleen Kaur a student at a Delhi college accused Sarvjeet Singh Bedi of sexually abusing her at a busy intersection while the signal was in the red. She posted a photograph of him on social media and mentioned that he boldly posed when she clicked him on her cell phone and warned her of dire consequences if she reported it to the authorities. Three days after the incident Bedi was arrested and the case has been going on for the past four years while he lost his job and his standing in the society.
Jasleen Kaur did not appear in even one single hearing with her parents using the excuse that she migrated to Canada after the incident. Bedi's lawyer had put forward the defence that the girl was an AAP party worker and accused him to become famous which she did. The court has acquited the man and he has shared on social media ""I wish to thank Waheguru ji for keeping His eye on me, and all of you for your tremendous support. My friends and well-wishers made it possible,"
