'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' hit the screens on May 12. As the film is completing its first-week run, director Parasuram Petla has addressed the complaint that the rom-com track between Mahesh Babu's Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh's Kalaavathi in the second half of the film is embarrassing. The track has Mahesh demanding Kalaavathi to sleep by his side. She obliges. They don't have non-consensual romance but the track has drawn criticism nevertheless.
In his latest interview, the director said that the episodes are devoid of any trace of vulgarity. He called the act of Mahesh placing one of his legs on Kalaavathi innocuous. "It is like a kid sleeping by his mother's side," Petla said.
The 'Geetha Govindam' director added that the superstar wouldn't have accepted to do such a scene had it been vulgar.
With music by SS Thaman, 'SVP' is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and GMB Entertainments. Speaking at the film's pre-release event the other day, Mahesh thanked his fans.
