‘You can steal my love. You can steal my friendship. You can’t steal my money’, says the hero in the trailer of ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, making clear where his heart lies. He regards every loan given by the bank as sacrosanct. The loanee has to pay back or pay consequences, sometimes with his limbs! No, not the middle-class loanee, but the big fat guys among politicians and industrialists.
Mahesh Babu is seemingly a bank manager who goes on to seek his vengeance against the big fish. One of the mega defaulters is played by Samuthirakani, a self-styled politician who sees bank loans as his assets, not liabilities. Nadhiya seems to be a victim of the extractive nexus.
Starring Keerthy Suresh in the role of a student who falls in love with the hero (the rom-com track seems to have a place for cheesy and double-meaning humour), the entertainer has Vennela Kishore in the role of the hero’s sidekick. Subbaraju and others are also seen.
Thaman’s background score is believed to be pulsating. R Madhi’s cinematography is awesome if the trailer’s visuals are anything to go by. Marthand K Venkatesh, the editor, has already vouched for the film’s ‘Pokiri’-type masala entertainment.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and GMB Entertainment, ‘SVP’ will hit the screens on May 12.
