'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' hit the screens this Thursday. The film's Day One numbers were expected to touch the stratosphere, considering the hype that had been built up. And the numbers, as shared by Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Plus on Friday, prove that the Mahesh Babu-starrer has indeed become a sensation.

The film earned Rs 36.63 Cr in terms of distributor's share on May 12 from the Telugu States alone. Of this, Nizam gave Rs 12.24 Cr, which is a non-Rajamouli record. The figure exceeded even 'KGF 2' by a margin.

In Ceeded, the action entertainer made Rs 4.7 Cr, while UA gave it another Rs 3.73 Cr. East Godavari gave Rs 3.25 Cr, and West Godavari gave Rs 2.74 Cr. Guntur's Rs 5.83 Cr, Krishna's Rs 2.58 Cr and Nellore's Rs 1.56 Cr complete the picture.

The makers claimed that 'SVP', directed by Parasuram Petla, grossed Rs 75 Cr worldwide on Day One. "This is an all-time record for a regional movie," the producers today said.

Starring Keerthy Suresh as the heroine, 'SVP' has Samuthirakani as the main villain.
