Earlier today K.Bhagyaraj shocked the Tamil film fraternity by resigning his President post from the South Indian Writers Association. He has explained that he experienced a lot of indirect troubles due to taking up the 'Sarkar' story theft issue. The celebrated screenwriter has stated that he believed in the authenticity of Varun Rajendran's claim that the story was based on his '
Sengol' script and that is why he stood by him.
Bhagyaraj has made it clear that the unsavoury circumstances he faced was because he was unanimously nominated as President and to set the right example he would contest in elections and then win by vote mandate. The veteran filmmaker is also confident that a drastic revamp is due in SIWA and would work towards it in future. He has also rendered an apology to Sun Pictures for revealing the story of 'Sarkar' which he was forced into as A.R. Murugadoss did not come to an agreement even after the most humble request.
