'Sarkar Raj' gets rare honour

So what if his films are presently not able to hit the intended targets, there is always a reason for Ram Gopal Varma to get contented with.

His film 'Sarkar Raj' has been selected to be kept in the archives of the prestigious Academy of Motion Pictures library.

The colossal library has in its collection 60,000 screenplays, 32,000 books, 1800 periodical titles, 8 million photographs and 300 manuscripts.

The collection also includes personal collection of some famous film makers and vintage film related materials from film studios, sheet music, sound recordings, artifacts, costume sketches, and famous music scores.

From Indian film Industry films like 'Lagaan', 'Devdas' and 'Kal Ho Na Ho' have previously found a place in Academy of Motion Pictures Library.
