The countdown has begun for the release of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' as it hits the screens worldwide in just about a week on Diwali day the 6th of November. Meanwhile, the film has created history in Kerala where there is a massive fan following for Vijay. The management of Karthiga theater in Trissur district of Kerala has decided to screen the film for a record 24 hours and have listed the timings starting at 5 am and continuing till 2.45 am the next morning.

'Sarkar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, Premkumar and Pazha Karuppaiah are in the cast. A.R. Rahman scores the music, Girish Gangadharan handles the camera and A. Sreekhar Prasad is the editor.
