'Sarkar' issue- Once again cases filed against A.R. Murugadoss

Director A.R. Murugadoss and Thalapathy Vijay combined for the third time in 'Sarkar' which also became a blockbuster hit like their previous ventures 'Thuppakki' and 'Kaththi'. However the film was mired in controversy as the ruling ADMK party objected to Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's name having former Chief Minister Jayalalitha's name 'Komavalavalli and also scenes in which the freebies given to voters during the 2011 elections being thrown to flames. After ADMK cadres destroyed banner in theaters and conducted agitations the controversial scenes were removed.
The Tamil Nadu government in their cases against A.R. Murugadoss demanded that he give an undertaking that he will not criticize the government in the future films which the director refused. The court has extended the stay on arresting ARM till December 13th. Meanwhile a social activist Devarajan has filed cases against A.R. Murugadoss for misleading the public about government schemes under sections 153, 153(A),505(A)(B)(C. It is said that ARM will soon be summoned to court in the hearing of this new cases by Devarajan also along with the TN government cases.
