A.R. Murugadoss refuses to apologize to government in Sarkar issue

The recently released Thalapathy Vijay film 'Sarkar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures raised up a storm as the ruling ADMK government in Tamil Nadu objected to Varalakhsmi's character name being Komalavalli and scenes in which the freebies of the government to the public such as mixers and grinders thrown to flames.

The Tamil Nadu government had filed a case against A.R. Murugadoss and sought his arrest forcing the director to file for an anticipatory bail which he duly got. Yesterday the case came up for hearing and the government advocate sought an unconditional apology from Murugadoss as well as an undertaking that he will not be criticizing the government and its scheme in future movies. It was also pressed for the cancellation of the anticipatory bail.

A.R. Murugadoss today filed his reply in which he has refused to apologize to the government as well as refused to give any undertaking that he would not criticize them in future. He stated that it was his fundamental right as a creator and a citizen. The court has extended the ban on the arrest of ARM for a further two weeks and adjourned the case to the 13th of December.
