The ADMK ministers took exception towards scenes in the recent blockbuster 'Sarkar' in which people throw to flames feebies given by the party to woo voters in previous elections. Spurred on by their leaders cadres started atrocities at theaters screening the film tearing up banners and causing damage to properties. Last night police reportedly entered director Murugadoss's residence and banged on his door and left.

Superstar Rajinikanth has slammed the actions of the government calling it illegal to demand removal of scenes after the film has been censored. He specifically condemned the attack on posters and theaters. Already Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has thrown his weight behind 'Sarkar' and now Rajini too has followed suit.
