'Sarkar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Thalapathy Vijay has achieved a massive blockbuster status in just two days since its release collecting 110 Crores worldwide. However, the director is facing multiple problems as the ruling party condemned scenes in the film especially the man himself making a cameo appearance and throwing government freebies such as mixer, grinders, and fans given by former Chief Minister Jayalalitha. After the ADMK cadres conducted agitations in front of theaters playing the film and also tearing up posters the producers Sun Pictures decided to remove the controversial scenes.
The latest development on the 'Sarkar' issue is that police have been deployed around A.R. Murugadoss's house in Virugambakkam. This has given rise to suspicion whether the director will be arrested as already a complaint has been given on him to book him as an anti-national by one Devarajan. Murugadoss has stated via SMS "Police had come to my house late tonight and banged the door several times. Since I was not there they left the premises. Right now I was told there is no police outside my house."
