Vijay also had words of praise to producer Kalanidhi Maran, the founder of the Sun TV network. Vijay used a word play to praise Maran, calling him  'Kalainidhi' a person who spends crores of money on films and arts.

To everyone's surprise Vijay's speech was laced with politics and also some criticisms about the corruption that has been affecting the state. First, he clarified that playing CM in 'Sarkar' as it is being speculated but also said "I will not act if I become a CM". This is for the first time Vijay has publicly spoken placed himself as a CM even in a hypothetical context. Fans and admirers are taking it as a strong hint at entering the politics if need be and taking charge to rule the state.

Comparing 'Sarkar' to elections, he said "We have formed a 'Sarkar' (Government) and contesting in the election. Please vote for us"

Taking a dig at corrupt politicians the star said :"If things are good at top level, if ministers are good the state will be good. But in reality we have to pay bribes for even getting birth and death certificates. The state needs good leaders".

He ended his speech saying only the truth and Dharma will triumph in the end, but it will take some time.
