In the final seconds of the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' trailer, director Anil Ravipudi makes a huge promise: The second half is going to be a 'Bomma Daddarillupovali' marathon. The interval bang fight in the shadow of the imposing Kondareddy Buruju (the Kurnool monument has been recreated at Ramoji Film City), we hope, is a curtain-raiser moment in the much-awaited Sankranthi release (January 11).
The first part of the trailer, unveiled on Sunday evening by Megastar Chiranjeevi, hints at the criticality of the "train episode" for the first half. Involving Mahesh Babu (seen also in a lungi for once), Rashmika Mandanna (routinely seeking a cute and handsome man), Rajendra Prasad, Bandla Ganesh (who apparently doesn't talk with men), Sangeetha, Hari Teja and others, this one is expected to be a laugh riot.
Prakash Raj plays a Minister-cum-repeat offender who gets challenged by the hero, a soldier in civilian dress. Vijayashanthi, who is in the teaching profession, is the gutsy hero's moral force. Even in the action scenes, Mahesh seems to have retained his comic streak.
With music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Rathnavelu, let's hope the film will indeed be 'Never before-uu, never after-uu'.
