The old-time favorite actress Sarika is making a comeback with films of a different genre. She is playing a real-life black magician Ipsita Roy Chakraborty in an English film. The movie titled Sacred Evil is directed by Abhiyaan Rajhans and Abhigyan Jha.

The story is based on a book by Ipsita and is about three women - a nun, a Wicca and a girl in search of her mother. They are separated by a twenty-year old secret. The movie was shot at 70 locations in Kolkata.

It shows the difference between Kolkata in previous years and today. Sarika has also acted in Rahul Dholakia's Perzania along with Naseeruddin Shah. Perzania has won many awards at major film festivals.
