Karthi's 'Sardar' is gearing up for a theatrical release in both Telugu and Tamil on October 21. And its trailer was released a while ago.

Director PS Mithran of 'Abhimanyudu' fame sets the ball rolling by establishing the male lead as a publicity-seeking policeman. Then we also see a spy who is a master of disguises. Karthi is playing a dual role. The first one is a cop and the second one is a classy spy. Both are out on a mission to rescue the stolen secrets of the Indian military. Going by the trailer, we are going to be treated to a riveting thriller.

Starring Raashi Khanna as the heroine, the film has Rajisha Vijayan in a key role. Chunky Panday of 'Saaho' fame has a role.

With music and cinematography by GV Prakash Kumar and George C Williams, respectively, 'Sardar' has Dileep Subbarayan and Reuben taking care of stunts and editing, respectively. The film has Laila, Munishkanth, Ashwin, Yog Japi, Nimmy, Balaji Sakthivel and Elavarasu in other roles.

The Telugu version is produced by Annapurna Studios.
