The movie revolves around Sarbjit Singh a farmer, who accidently crosses the border in Pakistan and is later jailed for illegally crossing the border.

In the movie 'Sarbjit', Randeep Hooda will be essaying the role of Sarbjit Singh whose family is unaware of his whereabouts. While his sister Dalbir Kaur, is played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who goes from door to door to get justice for her only brother. Richa Chadda is seen as Sarbjit's wife Sukhpreet, who waits for 23 years for her husband along with their two daughters. Darshan Kumar is also seen in the movie as a Pakistani lawyer.

This movie 'Sarbjit' is surely going to bring tears to your eyes as it will release on May 20, 2016.
