Veteran actor Saravanan is popular as Chithappu after playing the character in 'Paruthi Veeran' (2007) directed by Ameer which marked the debut of Karthi as hero. After playing character roles in several other films he once again hit the limelight participating in 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan in 2019.

However, Saravanan was ejected from 'Bigg Boss 3' due to his alleged derogatory statement against women by confessing his misbehaviour during college days. Now in an exclusive interview to us the talented actor opened up about his stint on the reality show.

Saravanan stated that he still is at a loss as to why he was ejected from 'Bigg Boss 3' but for the first time he revealed the reason why he participated as a contestant on the show. Saravanan related an emotional incident that when his second wife was pregnant he took her to a hospital for checkup and many there asked him if she was his daughter. Embarrassed by it Saravanan's second wife refused to go out with him ever and it was then that he promised her that he would let the whole world know about their relationship and then only take her out next.

So when the chance to participate in 'Bigg Boss 3' came Saravanan grabbed the opportunity and even though he was ejected midway he won big with the audiences and his fellow contestants.
