Kanchana is the 2011 horror thriller directed by choreographer turned actor turned director Raghava Lawrence. Though Lawrence played the lead in the film which was the sequel to Muni his maiden directorial venture, the role played by Sarathkumar was more powerful despite being short.

The film which was a super hit is being remade in Hindi and the Bollywood version is going to be helmed by Lawrence himself. Ajay Devgan will be reprising the lead role played by Lawrence however the team could not find a replacement for Sarathkumar since the role was that of a Transgender.

Now sources say that Lawrence has decided to cast Sarathkumar for the role in Bollywood version as well. If this happens the long time dream of the former Mr.Madras will come true.

The ‘Bollywood Kanchana’ (untitled as yet) will be produced jointly by famed bollywood actors Thushar Kapoor and Sabeena Khan.

Raghava expected to start working in his maiden Bollywood venture after completing Ganga, touted as the third outing of the Muni series in which he plays the lead apart from wielding the megaphone.
