While the Pandavar Ani` lead by actor Vishal has been on a rigorous campaign for the upcoming Nadigar Sangam Election, the incumbent dispensation lead by President R.Sarathkumar is also not leaving any stone unturned to retain power.

As the election date has been fixed as October 18, both the teams are meeting prominent actors and actresses. Recently Sarathkumar and the present office bearers of the Sangam met the senior actress Manorama, who is recovering from a prolonged illness and sought her blessings.

A tough competition is expected for the President post between Sarathkumar and Nasser while Vishal will be contesting post against the senior actor and the incumbent General Secretary Radharavi.

Both the sides are in the process of finalizing their candidates for the other administrative posts.

Meanwhile Sarathkumar who met the press persons today has confirmed that an announcement on candidates contesting on his behalf will be made within ten days.

He also dispelled allegations that attempts are being made to thwart the election process from his side. "We are 100% confident of winning the elections. Why should we try to stop them. They (the rebel actors)only went to court and obtained a stay on elections. We appealed against the stay and that has paved way for the elections. "

The nominations for contesting in the elections shall be made between October 1 and 3.
