With just a week to go before the Nadigar Sangam elections to be held on the 18th of October the incumbent President Sarathkumar has filed a criminal defamation complaint against Vishal at the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate`s Court in Egmore alleging that the young actor has made false allegations about him in the media in public events conducted at Trichy and Namakkal.
A few days ago Sarathkumar already sent a legal notice to Vishal for making false corruption charges against him as the President of the Nadigar Sangam. Vishal refused to apologize and Sarath has decided to go ahead and file defamation case against him seeking compensation of Rs. 10 Crores as damages for making the same. The Judge admitted the case and has directed the hearing to be held on the 12th of October.
It is learnt that the Pandavar Ani have decided to go ahead with their campaign tour of Tamil Nadu and have stated that Vishal will fight the defamation case legally.
