The Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha visited in person to pay her last respects to senior actress Manorama who passed away on Saturday. Her visit to honour the mortal remains of her 'elder sister' in the film industry was twisted to make low of Nadigar Sangam President R.Sarathkumar.

The photograph of the CM leaving the venue where Sarathkumar was captured standing at a distance from her car lead to rumors that the CM avoided a face to face meeting with him and also inquired about Achi only from actor Prabhu who was standing beside her.

Sarathkumar has rubbished the claims as mere rumors and clarified that he indeed spoke to the CM on that occasion and the photograph was actually taken when he moved forward after talking to her when she was about to start in her car.

Sarathkumar also asked as to how the CM whose purpose of the visit was to pay last respects to a senior actress can be expected to talk to him
