In the history of Tamil cinema, real life Father and daughter acting in the same film hasbeen a very rare phenomenon. Veteran K.Bhagyaraj and Charanya have acted in the film 'Parijatham'. Kamal Haasan and Shruti Haasan are acting in 'Sabaash Naidu' which is yet to release. 

Now Supreme Star Sarathkumar and his daughter Varalaxmi will be sharing the screen space for the first time in the film 'Pamban' directed by A.Venkatesh. The film will have Srikanth Deva as the music director. The shooting of 'Pamban' is all set to commence on 23rd of February 2018. 

Varalaxmi will be playing an adventurous character in the film the 'Nibunan' actress will even have fight sequences in the film. The film's supporting cast includes 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran, Kotta Srinivasa Rao, Iman Annachi and Vincent Ashokan.
