Title - SARATHI, Producer - KS Sathyaprakash, Direction - Dinakar Toogudeepa, Music - V Harikrishna, Cinematography - Krishnakumar, Cast - Darshan, Sarathkumar, Deepa Sannidhi, Rangayana Raghu, Lohitashva, Sharat Lohitashva, Seetha, Bullet Prakash, Vishwa and others.

Challenging star Darshan in prison and his film releasing this week is an engrossing entertainer for fans and for the general audience it is a well narrated screenplay by Darshan brother Dinakar in his third film as director. There is a well measured narration to hold the attention - dosage of sentiment, romance, in excess action plus competent cinematography and high quality of music makes this 'Sarathi' an easy watch.

The first half is rather unimpressive than the second half. Director Dinakar has decided to bring everything in second half and it is loaded with many issues in the life of protagonist.

The audio driver Raja (Darshan) does what he has done in 30 plus films and in second half narration there is some real test when he comes to his village where he belongs to. After 26 years he returns and he is none other than Krishna. As young boy his uncle infuses fear in him for the death of his father. That forces Krishna to run away from home.

Suryanarayana (Sarath Kumar) the chief of the villain is a Good Samaritan earned enough name through good work. The popularity and affection of Suryanarayana is not tolerated by his brother Sharat. Sharat wants the crown of village chief to come to his son. The master plan when Krishna is at a young age succeeds for him but destiny has something else in store.

The return of Krishna shocks his uncle and the same master plan to kill Krishna is applied now. The mistake what the uncle does is explaining Krishna how his father was killed. That is enough for Krishna to comeback to take revenge. In front of the Goddess Chamundeswari he returns to finish off the two cruelest persons. Krishna's uncle is killed by his own son and when Krishna is about to kills uncle son Pratap his mother objects.

Darshan has scored in sentiments, action and dialogue delivery. The dialogues are well written but some of them do not jell well with his current position in personal life. Deepa Sannidhi has a great future ahead. She has to dub for her film is the only complaint.

Sharat Kumar the popular Tamil film actor entry is good and his short role is also convincing as Darshan father. Seetha, Lohitashva and Sharat Lohitashva (father and son in one film) have given good performance.

Athiratha Maharatha Sarathi....song the graphic entry of Shanker Nag - a song with auto drivers is well received in the film. Hagu Heego....is very melodious where the protagonist Darshan has only commentary and heroine sings. Manase Manase Nee Ishtakka Bidu....good ones from V Harikrishna. Krishnakumar as cameraman done pretty good job and lengthy action scenes are well edited.

This worth watching once!
