After his fantastic performance as Edachena Kunkan in Mammootty`s Pazhassi Raja, veteran actor Sarath Kumar is all set to enthrall the Malayali audience once again. As per the latest update, Sarath is making a comeback to the industry after a short hiatus with Mollywood's ambitious project 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' starring Nivin Pauly and Amala Paul in the lead roles. Reportedly, Sarathkumar is appearing as the main antagonist. The 63-year-old actor with his supremely fit physique and ability to perform in action sequences is rumoured to play an action-oriented role.

Scripted by the duo Bobby-Sanjay and produced by Gokulam Gopalan, for Sree Gokulam Films, 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' will also have Angamaly Diaries fame Sarath Kumar, Sunny Wayne and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh in pivotal roles. Though there have been many versions of Kochunni's life stories, the upcoming venture will explore on how Kochunni turned out to be a rebel from a common man.

The movie's music will be done by Kabali music director Santhosh Narayanan and sound designing by Baahubali sound designer Satheesh. 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' will start rolling on September first and will be shot at the various locations of Kayamkulam and Sri Lanka.
