Actor and politician Sarath Kumar has once again tested positive for Covid 19 and took to his Twitter to confirm the same. This is the second time that Sarath Kumar has tested positive for the virus. He had earlier tested positive while shooting for Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' in Hyderabad last year.

Sarath Kumar, who was last seen in 'Vaanam Kottatum' in 2020 is the latest from the film fraternity to have tested positive for COVID-19. The actor turned politician has self-isolated himself and has requested everyone, who has come in contact with him in the past week to get tested.

He took to his Twitter to make the announcement and said: "Good evening my near and dear friends relatives and my brothers and sisters in the political party. This evening, I have tested positive and have self-isolated myself. I humbly request all the dear ones who have been in contact for the past week to test yourself immediately."

It is to be noted that celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Thaman Vikram, Keerthy Suresh, Arun Vijay, Vishnu Vishal, Mahesh Babu, Vadivelu, Chiranjeevi, Mammootty, Dulquer Salman have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past few weeks. on the work front, Sarath Kumar will next be seen in director Vijay Milton's upcoming film 'Mazhai Pidikaatha Manithan', which features actor and music director Vijay Antony in the lead.
