Actor Sonu Sood has become a superhero of sorts for a lot of people in last few months. He helped stranded migrant labours by arranging food and transport for them to reach their homes. He also helped out students and reached out to people who needed help and tried to improve their conditions.

For his selfless work for society renowned educational institute, the Sarat Chandra College in Andhra Pradesh, has renamed its Arts & Humanities department after Sonu. He is quite proud of this achievement and said, "This is an institute which has produced the maximum number of IAS and IPS officers. To have them then re-name the Arts & Humanities department as the Sonu Sood department of Arts and Humanities is the greatest honour of my of life."

He also remembered his mother who would have been proud of him on this ocassion.
