Yes, this Kamal Haasan heroine is all set to play a gangster in her next. Speaking about the same director Vishnu Ramakrishnan said, " “I wanted to break the stereotype and that’s exactly why I approached Saranya ma’am for the role. She is a versatile actress and I felt she would be perfect for the script and to play the lead,”

Set in Chennai, the film revolves around a gangster who had stopped indulging in violence. “But when her family member gets in trouble, she resorts to her old ways. It’s a proper gangster film, but the story is laced with family sentiments and humour,” said Vishnu.

Further, he added, “There’s a major shooting sequence in the film. When I first told her about this, she was hesitant and was scared about pulling it off. But on the day of the shoot, she held the gun as though she had prior experience shooting such scenes. These are not small pistols, but huge imported automatic guns! She nailed the scenes. She didn’t even train for them beforehand.” The film also stars Raaj Varma as the villain and Amzath Khan in a crucial role.
