Sara Ali Khan doesn't want to work in remakes anymore

Sara Ali Khan became one of the most popular and sought after actresess at a very early stage of her career. She was last seen alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in 'Atrangi Re' and she recently wrapped up the filming for an untitled project with Vicky Kaushal. As of now, Sara's filmography mostly comprises of hero centric masala films.

In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Sara opened up about this aspect and also stated that she has no interest in working in remakes anymore. The actress said, For me, the role and screen time matter. Of course, having done Aanand ji’s film, I am greedy, I want more meaty parts. I want to do all kinds of films. Today, if Rohit Shetty (director of Simmba) comes to me with another commercial film where he needs me to do another Aankh Maare, I will do it.”

Sara shared screen with Varun Dhawan in the remake of 'Coolie No 1' but it seems like she isn't keen on taking up other such projects. No more remakes for me right now. I will star in the remake of Atrangi Re. You tell Aanand ji and we will start rolling at India Gate in Delhi, she said.
